Everyone wants casino poker chips. But what is the definition of
casino poker chips? Most people think casino poker chips are
rock heavy, made of super strength clay, and have fine detail.
While this may sound like the perfect playing piece to you, this
is far from the attributes of most casino poker chips.
Next time you're in a casino, take a look at
the chips. While they vary from place to place, most casino
poker chips are light, maybe 9-10 grams.
So don't equate a
casino chip with heavier weight 13 or 14 gram chips.
Secondly, casino poker chips are made from a
more fragile ceramic/clay mix. They are not very durable and get
beat up easily. Lastly, besides some of the higher end casinos
like the Hard Rock (love that Jimi Hendrix chip!) and Caesars
Palace, casino poker chips do not have a lot of fine detail on
them.
OK, so before you read this, you though you
wanted a set of casino poker chips but now may think otherwise.
Well don't worry, If you want real casino grade poker chips I'll
make some recommendations:
10 Gram Paulson Tophat & Cane
- The chips are the best, and if you love everything about
real casino poker chips and are prepared to spend a little,
these are highly recommended.
9 Gram Fan of
Cards - For about $100 less, you can obtain these little
beauties. I really like these chips. They're light at 9 grams,
but the detail is incredible and are one of the best sounding
chip on the market.
Nevada Jacks
- One of the finest detailed casino poker chips on the market
today with incredible graphics and a 10 gram weight. Very nice
if you're looking for something different.
I'll be adding to this list as time goes
on, but as of this writing, these are my three favorite casino
poker chips available today. And as always, if you run into
any casino poker chips you think should be added to this list,
please email them to me.
